Common Questions
Everything you need to know before working with us.
Who are your typical clients?
We work with a broad range of clients — from ISPs and regional carriers managing internet backbone infrastructure, to enterprises, data centres, and businesses that need reliable, professionally engineered network infrastructure. If your network is mission-critical and you need senior-level expertise to design, build, or operate it, you're exactly the kind of client we work with.
What is the process for beginning a project?
It starts with a conversation. We'll schedule an initial consultation to understand your environment, your goals, and the challenges you're trying to solve. From there we conduct a thorough discovery and audit, produce a detailed design proposal, and agree a clear Statement of Work before anything is touched. You can read more about our full process on the Our Process page.
Do you work with clients outside of Armenia?
Absolutely. While we are based in Yerevan, network engineering is largely vendor-agnostic and much of our work can be delivered remotely — particularly design, architecture, BGP policy management, and configuration work. For on-site deployment and cabling, we work within Armenia and can discuss travel arrangements for projects further afield.
Are you vendor-neutral?
Yes — always. We don't have preferred vendor agreements that influence our recommendations. We'll tell you what the right tool is for your environment, your budget, and your requirements — whether that's Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, or something else entirely. Our only loyalty is to what works best for you.
What if my requirements fall outside your core expertise?
We'll tell you honestly. We'd rather refer you to the right engineer than take on work outside our wheelhouse and deliver a substandard result. That said, with 15 years of carrier and enterprise networking experience across virtually every major platform, there isn't much in the networking space we haven't encountered.
How do you handle confidentiality and data security?
We treat all client information — network diagrams, configurations, IP plans, and business data — with strict confidentiality. We are happy to sign NDAs before any engagement begins and take our data handling responsibilities seriously. Your infrastructure details never leave our team.
Services Questions
More specific questions about what we do and how we do it.
What networking platforms and vendors do you work with?
We have deep hands-on experience across a wide range of vendors including Juniper (MX, PTX, QFX, SRX), Cisco (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS), Arista (EOS), Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and more. We also bring strong Linux and open-source networking expertise — including FRR, VyOS, and open-source BGP stacks — which gives us a broader toolkit than most.
Do you offer managed network services?
Yes. Beyond design and deployment, we offer ongoing managed operations — including 24/7 monitoring, incident response, BGP and routing policy management, firewall rule management, and capacity planning. We can act as an extension of your internal team or as your dedicated network operations resource.
Can you manage our BGP and ASN?
Yes — this is a core part of what we do. We currently manage five ASNs for our clients, handling BGP policy, peering relationships, prefix management, and route optimisation. Whether you're an ISP, a carrier, or a multi-homed enterprise, we have the experience to manage your BGP environment with the precision it demands.
Do you perform network security audits?
Yes. We offer comprehensive network security assessments — reviewing firewall policies, access control lists, network segmentation, and BGP security (including IRR and RPKI). We produce a clear, prioritised findings report with actionable remediation steps, and can implement the fixes ourselves if required.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends entirely on the scope. A targeted firewall audit or BGP policy review can be completed in days. A full network architecture redesign and deployment for a carrier or enterprise environment may take several weeks to months. We'll always give you a realistic timeline upfront — and we stick to it.
What happens after a project is complete?
We don't just hand over a config file and disappear. Every engagement includes full as-built documentation, knowledge transfer to your team, and a post-deployment check-in to make sure everything is performing as expected. Ongoing support, monitoring, and managed services are available for clients who want us to stay close after delivery.
