Military & Defense

This is our home ground. We speak carrier networking fluently — because we’ve spent years building, operating, and troubleshooting the infrastructure that ISPs and telcos depend on.

Carrier Networking Demands a Different Level of Engineering.

Consumer-facing services, business internet, peering relationships, transit agreements, backbone capacity — the infrastructure that underpins a functioning ISP or telecommunications provider is some of the most complex, highest-stakes networking that exists. A misconfigured BGP policy doesn’t just affect one customer. A poorly designed backbone doesn’t just slow things down. At carrier scale, mistakes have consequences that ripple across thousands of end users in seconds.

At AMROTS, telecommunications and ISP networking isn’t a vertical we serve from the outside — it’s the environment we’ve spent our careers working in. We understand the operational reality of running a carrier network: the pressure of SLA commitments, the complexity of managing multiple upstream transit relationships, the discipline required to maintain a clean routing table, and the consequences of getting any of it wrong.

We currently manage five ASNs for our clients. We’ve designed backbone architectures, built peering strategies, implemented RPKI, and operated BGP environments at a scale that gives us the context to advise ISPs and telcos with genuine credibility

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the questions we hear most from ISP and telecommunications clients

Do you work with small regional ISPs or only large carriers?
Both. Whether you're a regional ISP with a handful of ASNs and a lean engineering team, or a larger carrier managing complex multi-site backbone infrastructure — we scale our engagement to fit your environment and your needs.
Can you help us reduce our transit costs through peering?
Yes — and it's one of the highest-ROI engagements we do for ISP clients. We analyse your traffic matrix, identify the right IXPs and bilateral peering opportunities for your traffic profile, and build a peering strategy that meaningfully reduces your transit spend while improving performance for your end users.
We don't have RPKI implemented yet. Where do we start?
With a conversation about your current BGP environment — your ASN, your prefix inventory, your upstream relationships, and your RIR membership. From there, implementing RPKI is a straightforward process that we handle end to end: ROA creation, route origin validation policy, and BGP session security. It's one of the most impactful security improvements an ISP can make, and it's more achievable than most teams expect.
Can you manage our BGP environment on an ongoing basis?
Yes — ongoing BGP and ASN management is one of our core managed services for ISP clients. We currently manage five ASNs for clients, handling day-to-day prefix management, peering changes, policy tuning, and routing table hygiene so your internal team can focus on growth and customer-facing work.
What We Do

How We Help Telecommunications & ISP Clients

No two ISPs are identical — but the engineering challenges they face have more in common than not. Here’s where we add the most value

Our Expertise

With Our Experience, We Understand the Real Pressures of Running a Carrier Network.

Telecommunications providers operate where technical excellence and commercial discipline must coexist. Networks must perform flawlessly while costs are managed carefully and customer SLAs are met without exception. We bring engineering expertise that addresses the real challenges of running a carrier network — not generic consulting, but hands-on technical work from engineers who have lived it.

Designing backbone topologies that scale without re-architecture.
Building BGP policies that give you control over your traffic and your costs.
Implementing RPKI to protect your prefixes and your customers from routing incidents.
Reducing transit spend through intelligent peering strategy and IXP participation.
Hardening your network against DDoS attacks before they affect your customers.
Automating repetitive operational tasks so your engineering team focuses on what matters.

Our Approach

We Are Engineers First. Everything We Deliver Reflects That.

Every recommendation we make is grounded in real-world carrier engineering experience. We don’t offer off-the-shelf solutions or generic advice — we work in your environment, understand your constraints, and deliver outcomes that make your network more reliable, more secure, and more cost-efficient.

We assess existing backbone architectures thoroughly before recommending any changes — mapping traffic flows, identifying single points of failure, and understanding capacity headroom across every link in the core.

For ISPs evaluating peering strategy, we analyse traffic matrices to identify the right IXPs and bilateral peering opportunities — modelling the transit cost savings achievable before any commitments are made.

Our RPKI implementation engagements cover ROA creation, route origin validation policy, and BGP session security — giving ISPs the routing security foundation that protects both their own prefixes and the broader internet routing table.

For ISPs operating with lean engineering teams, we provide managed BGP and ASN services — handling day-to-day routing operations so internal teams can focus on customer-facing work and network growth.
